How to prepare for your session
The day before
Hair removal
Remove unwanted hair at least 24 hours before. This will ensure an even and smooth finish to your tan.
The day before
Exfoliate
The night (or morning) before, exfoliate your skin with a gentle exfoliator or scrub. This prepares the skin and will result in a more even and longer lasting tan.
On the day
Clean Skin
Shower off any deodorant perfume or moisturiser, the chemicals found in these products can prevent the tan from taking to the skin.
After your session
Straight after
Baggy clothes
Wear comfy clothes, the baggier the better, make sure your clothes are loose fitting and dark. This will allow your tan to dry thoroughly.
Whilst it's developing
Chill out
Don’t sweat it! You deserve to relax, don’t do any heavy exercise and avoid sweating, your tan will develop over the next few hours.
When it's developed
Rinse
Jump in the shower and rinse off the guide colour- until the water runs clear. Thats it, you will have a long lasting flawless looking tan.
glo tan hacks – keep your spray tan looking fresh:
- Use gentle soaps with no alcohol and warm water to wash.
- Dab dry after showers rather than rubbing with a towel.
- Moisturise with an oil free moisturiser after every shower- oil breaks down the tan.
- Avoid harsh chemicals such as chlorine or bleach or anything that may ruin your tan.
- Don’t exfoliate until you are ready to say goodbye to your tan.

FAQs
Your Glo Tan appointment will take around 15-20 minutes, it’s very quick and easy and we bring all equipment to you. We allocate 30 minutes for each client. Please note if you are more than 15 minutes late we may have to reschedule.
We will provide you with disposable underwear, disposable hair net and sticky feet, however you are welcome to wear whatever makes you feel most comfortable at your appointment such as your own underwear or swimwear
Yes, DHA (dihyroxyacetone) which is derived from sugar cane, is considered safe to use in spray tanning. It has been approved for use in cosmetic products by the FDA and the (SCCS).
No, tanning solution doesn’t have any sunscreen in it. If you go in the sun please wear SPF
We will always send you our comprehensive glo tanning guide before your appointment. We recommend that you Exfoliate and shave the day before (or at least 8 hours before) your appointment. (This will get rid of any dead skin and provide a more even skin surface for the solution)
Try to avoid: Oil based products (which can cause a barrier on the skin), shaving too close to the appointment, and always make sure you have washed with water to remove any make up, deodorant or moisturiser before your spray. All this and more will be sent to you before your appointment in our Glo Tan Guide
Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! Water based lotions are best! This will ensure that your skin remains healthy and hydrated, and that your spray tan lasts longer. We will send you our recommended tan friendly products before your appointment
